Schubert & Mozart
Yingdi Sun × Jia Lu
National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), Beijing · March 9, 2019

Overview
On March 9, 2019, pianist Yingdi Sun joined conductor Jia Lu and the China NCPA Orchestra for an elegant evening of Classical and early-Romantic masterpieces. The program, titled “Schubert and Mozart”, combined the luminous grace of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 12 in A Major, K.414 with the youthful symphonic brilliance of Schubert’s Symphonies No. 5 and No. 6.
This concert showcased the refined clarity and expressive warmth characteristic of both composers, interpreted through LÜ Jia’s poised direction and Yingdi Sun’s nuanced pianism — a dialogue between Viennese classicism and Chinese artistry.
