Timeless Four Seasons
Siqing Lu & Major Ensemble Concert

Violinist Siqing Lu and the MAJOR Ensemble present the world premiere of The Four Seasons of China, a newly commissioned concerto by composer Ziyang Wen. Inspired by the cycle of the seasons — Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring — the work draws on Chinese cultural imagery and aesthetics while embracing the symphonic concerto tradition. It represents a bold artistic dialogue between East and West, tradition and modernity.

Chinese Traditional Festival Suite
Composer: Yuhui Liu
Commissioned by: MAJOR Performing Arts Group
World Premiere: February 2026 (approx. 45 minutes)
This newly commissioned suite innovatively combines soloists of Chinese traditional instruments with Western string orchestra. Structured around nine major traditional festivals, it captures the collective emotions and cultural memory of the Chinese people. Inspired by classical poetry, it conveys China’s humanistic spirit and timeless traditions to the world stage.
