Meigui Zhang Recital
As petals unfold when a rose blooms, soprano Meigui Zhang paints with her voice — each note a delicate brushstroke of color, at once rich and luminous, fragrant with emotion, and leaving audiences with a lasting sweetness.
A signed artist of the Metropolitan Opera, New York, Zhang was named to the Opera for Peace – Leading Voices of the Next Generation program in 2020. Praised as “an exquisite soprano, charming and influential” (San Francisco Classical Voice), she has been acclaimed for her lyrical singing and captivating stage presence, with “one of the opera’s high points” (San Francisco Examiner).

The Many Lives of a Rose
Soprano Meigui Zhang has rapidly emerged on leading international classical music stages in recent years. In 2024 she appeared at the Verbier Festival in Le nozze di Figaro, and opened the Los Angeles Opera’s 2024 season as Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni. In 2025 she will debut at the San Francisco Opera as Oscar in Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera, and has sung Juliet in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette at the National Centre for the Performing Arts, Beijing.
