Pianist Konstantin Shamray is acclaimed both as a performer and educator. A Senior Lecturer in Piano at the University of Melbourne and a Doctor of Music in theory from the University of Adelaide, Shamray rose to international prominence after winning First Prize at the 2008 Sydney International Piano Competition, alongside numerous other top awards.
Renowned for his insightful interpretations of Tchaikovsky and 20th-century Russian music, he has appeared with leading orchestras including the Mariinsky Orchestra, the Russian National Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Australian Chamber Orchestra.
