Siqing Lu x China National Symphony Orchestra
2023 Australia Tour
Tour

Tour Period
28 November – 2 December 2023
Overview
From November to December 2023, internationally renowned violinist Lü Siqing joined the China National Symphony Orchestra for its 2023 Australia tour, under the baton of conductor Li Xincao. This marked the first large-scale symphonic tour to Australia by a national-level Chinese arts institution since the pandemic, highlighting the artistic excellence and global reach of Chinese symphonic music.
The tour brought the ensemble to three of Australia’s most iconic concert halls — in Sydney, Adelaide, and Melbourne — and was met with strong attention from both Chinese and Australian musical communities.
As the featured soloist, Lü Siqing performed a program that bridged Eastern and Western repertoire, including the beloved Chinese violin concerto The Butterfly Lovers, Dance of the Yao People, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7.
