Overview
In May 2018, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO), Australia’s oldest and most celebrated professional orchestra, embarked on a grand China Tour under the baton of Sir Andrew Davis — one of the world’s great British maestros.
Joined by violin virtuoso Siqing Lu, the orchestra performed a diverse program across five major cities — Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Hangzhou, and Beijing — featuring Australian contemporary works, Romantic classics, and master symphonies, creating a landmark moment for East-West musical collaboration.
